"Jeepers, Creepers, Where'd you get those peepers"?

Hamburger Jung

I stayed at "T"s house the past couple of days, overnight and carted the kids to school, and wrapped a ton of presents while they jetted off for their anniversary...

I told the chef (who on odd days, does some cleaning)that I slept in the basement bedroom, and that the sheets needed changed, because T's parents were coming to stay that night.

Chef: Did "T" tell you I needed to change them?
Me: Yes.
Chef: When did the maid change them last?
Me: Well.. we had guests about 3 weeks ago, and I asked her to change them (but with the Spanish language barrier, I don't ever think she understands what I say, so I doubt it was done)
Chef: Ok, they were probably changed 3 weeks ago. I don't need to change them then.
Me: I slept there last night, though.
Chef: Just you right, your husband wasn't here, was he?
Me: No.
Chef: Ok, then I won't change them.
Me: But T's parents are coming, and sleeping in here...
Chef: I know.
Me: And I, slept here...
Chef: "L", are you trying to tell me you got them dirty somehow...by yourself?
Me: HUH? pauses for a minute* NO! I just thought...

*Isn't it customary to change sheets after each guest? I think that's disgusting!

What do you think?

Ummm yeah, I always prefer to sleep on clean sheets. As in clean and changed after each guest.
